Executive Sparring
at eye level
The greater the responsibility, the less room there is for open and honest exchange.
As a Leadership Companion, I am a conversation partner for executives who want to reflect confidentially on complex leadership, people and culture issues – independently, honestly and on equal terms.
Not as a consultant who tells you what to do. But as an experienced sparring partner with whom you can organize your thoughts, question perspectives, and openly address difficult topics.
If you need someone you can really talk to openly
At the top of an organization, there are many people who have an opinion – and at the same time surprisingly few with whom you can really talk openly.
Not every question can be discussed with the leadership team. Not every uncertainty is something you want to share with employees or management. And not every situation requires a consultant with a ready-made solution.
Sometimes you simply need someone who listens, asks the right questions, understands the connections, and creates a confidential space for honest reflection.
That's exactly what I'm here for.
What executive sparring can be about
Complex leadership issues
They are facing a difficult leadership situation, a sensitive personnel issue, or a conflict where different interests and personalities come together.
People & Culture
They deal with topics related to leadership culture, key people, collaboration, change, or how your organization should develop further.
Confidential changes
A transformation, reorganization, or personnel change has not yet been communicated. You would like to discuss your ideas with someone before sharing them internally.
New executive role
You're starting as a CEO, CHRO, CFO, COO, or in another senior role. The first 90 days raise questions: What needs attention? Which relationships are crucial? How do I position myself? What do I consciously want to do differently?
Remaining effective at the top
How do you stay clear-headed, present, and effective when responsibility, complexity, and pressure increase? Where do you lose energy? What does it take for you not only to function but also to remain effective in the long term? It's always about your specific situation – not a one-size-fits-all program.
Leadership Companion instead of Consulting
I am not a business consultant and I do not want to sell you business solutions.
My contribution is different.
I bring over 25 years of experience from the international corporate environment – particularly in the areas of people, leadership, and culture. As a long-time HR manager, I have supported senior leaders in challenging situations and experienced firsthand how complex leadership at the top of an organization can be.
This experience informs our sparring.
I listen. I ask questions. I reflect. I question.
I share my experience if it is helpful.
And sometimes I also ask: How else could one see this?
They always remain the ones who decide.
Why Boris Brändli? - Experience, not just method
I am familiar with people, leadership, and culture issues not only from the perspective of a coach.
For over 25 years, I worked in an international corporate environment and held leadership positions in international HR roles for many years. Most recently, I was Head of People & Culture for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at a DAX-listed company.
I have accompanied senior leaders through transformations, changes, difficult people situations and challenging leadership issues.
And I also know the other side: the experience of having to take responsibility and make decisions for which there is no easy answer.
As an INSEAD-certified executive coach, I combine this experience with professional coaching skills.
My aim is not to give you answers.
My aim is to provide you with a space where better questions, new perspectives and new insights can emerge.
This is how executive sparring works
01 – Confidential initial consultation
We'll discuss your situation and see if I'm the right person to talk to.
0 2 – Sparring when you need it
There is no standard program. We meet regularly or occasionally – depending on what makes sense for you.
03 – Space for what is currently important
You bring the topics with them. We reflect, sort, question, and develop perspectives.
In person or online. In German or English.
A confidential space for leadership at the top
You don't need to have an answer before seeking a conversation.
Perhaps there's a situation on your mind. A decision you're not yet ready to share. A change you're preparing for. Or simply the desire to reflect on your thoughts with someone who understands the world of leadership, people, and culture from their own experience.
Then let's talk.
Confidential. Discreet. On eye level.
